Answer: Yes, Crystal Retinal 3 is suitable for everyone new to Retinaldehyde (Retinal). When first using Crystal Retinal, we recommend following our gradual phase-in method: use twice a week for the first 2 weeks, every other night for the next 2 weeks, then every night. You should always use sunscreen in the morning while using vitamin A. -

Is the layering order the same for this product?
Answer: We recommend layering products from lightest to heaviest in texture for optimum penetration. So water-based products would go on the skin first, then oil-based serums, then emulsion serums and moisturizers last. The recommended layering order is: 1. Cleanse, 2. Hyaluronic acid serum, 3. Retinol, 4. Niacinamide serum (if it's an emulsion if a water-based serum use it before retinol serum), 5. Moisturizer. -

Answer: Crystal Retinal 6 is an emulsion-based serum that is designed to be worn underneath a moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated. Our Advanced Night Restore is ideal to apply on top as this contains Advanced Ceramides and has been optimized for use with Vitamin A such as Retinaldehyde. -
