Answer: This unit was a failure for me, I can open my gate by hand and this unit wouldn't open it nor close it, it is a cheap built in China unit, I replaced the control board twice in a three month time frame, Stay away from this gate opener I would not recommend it to anyone. -

Does anyone know the size of the chain link I need more than 20 ft?
Answer: It comes with a 20ft chain if you need more you can buy an extra 10ft chain. -

Can you mount this on either side of the gate? My electrical is on the close side would that be ok.
Answer: If you mean can you mount it on the left or right side of the gate...yes it can, the way the sensors are wired to the terminal block will determine what is open and what is closed be that to the right or left. -

Answer: It's not as fast as I would like it to be, but ok! I'm guessing 20sec to open a 16' gate, I can time it later on if needed -
