This Georgia Boot style has many of the Wildland Fire Fighting requirements but has not been tested for the NFPA 1977 label as of August 2018. The style is unavailable as a shoe. The boots have good ankle support, oil resistance and good traction on dry surfaces. They are comfortable to wear but started leaking dust on the third week of use. However, a new coat of Obenauf's Heavy Duty Leather Preservative sealed them up again. The boots are a good choice for light/occasional duty field work, but not recommended for hard use or walking on downed trees with skinned off bark. Some customers complained of the boots running narrow, but others found the sizing to be good. Overall, customers were satisfied with the purchase, given the low price and decent quality.
