This skid plate is compatible with BMW G310GS models from 2018 to 2022. Customers who installed it on a 2021 model recommend using spacers of around 0.5-0.625 inches for the upper bars located below the handlebar. Some customers suggest getting longer bolts and more washers or spacers than provided, as these were not enough to secure the bar in place. The instructions are also inadequate or nonexistent. The product works well and is of good quality, but customers recommend that the manufacturer provide more detailed instructions. Some customers found the installation a bit difficult and needed to bend the lower bars into place, enlarge holes, or use their own tools, so be ready to do some DIY. The skid plate looks great and is durable; it can withstand harsh terrain and the scorching desert heat. However, some customers had difficulty fitting the guards to the bike, particularly the upper guard; they had to force the bars into place, strip screws, or modify the installation. Some also complained about missing parts, long screws, asymmetrical fit or incompatible holes.
