At 1080, it provides a fantastic video quality, and the image stabilization and optical zoom are missing in this version. Some accessories may not work with the HERO4, but mounting accessories will work correctly. Buyers should note that it performs better at 1080 than at 4K. If buyers require a waterproof case, the "Standard Housing," which has "waterproof" up to "131' (40m)," comes with the camera, and the "Diving Housing" (sold separately) is "waterproof" up to "197' (60m)." In a review, it is touted as the best investment when it comes to cameras that allow the user to invest in water without any risks of damage. The GoPro HERO4 Black produces excellent footage; however, its battery life does not last long, and additional batteries are essential for more extended recordings. A not-so-great customer review reported that the battery lasts only five minutes after two or three uses, and the camera then produces an SD error message that makes it unusable. When the user went to the ocean after a year of owning it, water somehow got inside the waterproof case, rendering the camera unusable.
